Ann Lacey Pyburn
First shoot
May 28, 2020
The first shoot with a new model is typically very simple. For most of the shoot you will be seated on a photographer's stool while I set equipment, adjust lighting, measure distances with me giving light coaching tips for the shots I need. The basic skill required will be to hold a perfectly still position for short intervals to give me identical poses from different angles. Very easy!
Shoots are an hour and a half to two hours. Scheduling can be flexible, especially for those coming in from out of town. Summer schedules will likely change from week to week, so as soon as you can set a day for a first shoot the better.
How to dress: Keep it simple and modest. A solid top is my preference. White or a dark color is classic. Button downs, collared shirts and neon bright colors are NOT preferred. A basic black t-shirt and jeans have always worked. If you can get anywhere close to that, I'll take it.
Hair and makeup: Hair will be down for most or all of the shoot. Makeup should be very light and casual. Bring a brush and any items you might need to reset hair or makeup during breaks.
Four Essentials: Be clean. Be rested. Be fed. Be positive. Bring your best!
Thank you, Ann Lacey! Also, I took the official enneagram test the next day after you finished your calculus exam. Interesting.
