Thanks to all
THANK YOU to everyone for making the Rojo portrait project a success. It has been a vision of mine now for two or three years. The timing was finally right for this summer. I believe the final count was 116 faces that made it on the wall. I am very grateful for the stories, the laughs, the new and renewed connections with everyone who came in. This was a collaborative effort of all who participated.
Please take a few minutes to read through finishing details.
pickup Your Photo
Rojo photos from the side room wall can be picked up starting this evening through Sunday, 10:00 PM. Please carefully remove photos from panels if I am not close by to help. Here is my schedule of times I will be at Rojo through the weekend.
Saturday 6:00-8:00 PM
Sunday 12:00-2:00 PM & 6:00-8:00 PM
Text me if none of these times work. Any unclaimed photos will be boxed up and stored through the fall. Separate arrangements can be made if you would like to pick up your photo at a later date.
SHARING PHOTOS
Many of you have asked about obtaining photos of friends on the wall. Photo sharing will need to be between family and friends only. For privacy concerns, a public, online photo gallery will not be created for the Rojo project. You are welcome to share your album links and downloads as you would like.
Downloads and DONATIONS
For downloading photos, I recommend downloading to a desktop hard drive or thumb drive to save for future access to photos. These photos are large, best quality JPEG files. Before editing and resaving, I would make a copies of downloads and store away originals in a separate folder or location. For web-based purposes, resizing photos to small files may be necessary. For printing purposes, the original large files are recommended.
For large prints (8”x10” or larger), I strongly recommend high-end printing on high-end paper. Prints through your SmugMug album are through Bay Photo in California. For smaller prints (4”x6” or 5”x7”), Walgreens should do fine.
You may also purchase the entire album (not individual photos and prints) through Venmo and CashApp instead of through SmugMug. Thank you to those who have made donations!
Venmo - BlueJeepCafe
CashApp - $GreerMilam
Special thanks
A sincere thanks to Thyme Council for her many hours of help getting the photos ready - cleaning each frame, framing and mounting each photo, arranging and spacing photos on panels, panel transport to the restaurant, and the final hanging of the panels on the side room wall. Thank you, Thyme!
An InviTation
TO OLD AND NEW FRIENDS. A prayerful intent of the Rojo project has been to lay a foundation to share my Christian faith, to build bridges back into a community that was central to my 15 years of living on Highland Avenue. My personal testimony is far from one of walking the straight and narrow but rather of trusting the One who did. To those interested, I would gladly welcome the opportunity to share my story.
